Technology
ES-C220 controller is based on professional inverter parallel control technology and mainly aimed at energy conservation.
There must be several engineers and programmers who have professional knowledge of system.
Adjustment
With the built-in functions of various parameter adjustment automatically.
Programmer depends on the result of test at site to revise the control program.
Extension
Extension easy.
Only connect to another ES-C220 controller and set up the parameter.
Except of extenional module, the control program must be revised.
Test Run
With LCD diplay and push button, ES-C220 makes it easy to set and adjust the parameter for test at site.
LCD is not embedded in PLC controller, programmer has to revise the control program.
Functions

Built in six standard control functions for selection :Constant Temperature, Constant Pressure, Differential Temperature, Differential Pressure, Flow, Liquid Level

Program depends on the demanding project and it is hard to make quantification.

Application

ES-C220 controller is widespread applied to HVAC, Process, feed water, cooling water system and so on.

Energy Saving Efficiency

ES-C220 controller is built-in professional energy saving control program while after finishing setting parameter, it adjusts the quantity of running motors and frequency automatically to optimize energy usage.

What kind of HVAC system is suitable for ESCON / ES-LON?
 
ES-CON / ES-LON is suitable for cooling water pump, primary chiller water pump, secondary chiller water pump (zone pump ) , cooling tower fan and air handling unit and hot water system and so on.
   
 
   
What's the benefit when installing ES-CON / ES-LON at the pumps with inverter already?
   
 
In conventional wisdom, the pump which has been installed with inverter is able to save power. However, if loading is over 100%(ex:101%), it is necessary to start the second pump. And in this condition, it will still waste energy and power.
   
 

ES-CON / ES-LON remains the same operational parameter as original. Furthermore, it applies to mutiple variable speed pumps running, helps system performance optimized, and makes multi-protection for facilities and system. Also, the energy conservation is able to be over 30% and more.

   
 
   
What is Lonworks? What are the advantages for installing ES-CON / ES-LON?
 
LonWorks is a famous Internet technology platform developed by Echelon company. You can know more about it from ECHELON's website.
 
   
 
ES-CON and ES-LON are with the same program while are constructed in the different network interface. The network interface of ES-CON is RS-485 while the protocal of ES-LON is LonWorks. Both are able to adjust the quantity of running motors and frequency automatically which depend on the actual loading to optimize energy usage.
 
 
 
   
How to save energy / power by controlling the frequency of pump?
 

The power lay out is in direct ratio with cubic of motor RPM

P1/P2 = (N1/N2)3

So as frequency is 60Hz (N1) → 50Hz (N2) ,

the power lay out P2= (50/60)3 P1( the o riginal power lay out ) =0.57P1

in theory and the efficiency of energy saving is 47% .

   
 
   
In conventional wisdom, it should waste much more power to make more motors run. How do ES-CON / ES-LON save power more effectively?
   
  If one motor runs with full speed (60Hz), the power consumption will be "P". ES-CON / ES-LON remains the same demanding flow but makes two motors run with 30Hz frequency. According to the theory of that the flow is in direct ratio with motor RPM and the power lay out is in direct ratio with cubic of motor RPM, "P" becomes a quarter of original power consumption if installing ES-CON / ES-LON.
 
 
 
 
   
Will it effect original system or facility when installing ES-CON / ES-LON?
 
No. ES-CON / ES-LON remains the same operational model as original. Furthermore, it helps system optimized, and makes multi-protection for facilities and system.
   
 
   
What's parameter value you refer to your system? How precision it is?
 
According to the actual loading, ES-CON / ES-LON will send command to the Inverters and make pumps run with variable speed after caculate based on parallel control technology for Variable Water Volume (VWV) and Variable Air Volume (VAV).The accuracy of pressure control is within ± 1PSI, while temperature is within ± 0.5 oC. The high precision of ES-CON / ES-LON is much superior to PLC and DDC.
   
 
   
Is there display or HMI for ES-CON / ES-LON? What function does it offer?
 

Yes, ES-Tech has developed LCD display which is mainly used for ES-Con / ES-LON. With LCD display, it is easy to monitor and set parameter for controlled system. Certainly, ES-CON / ES-LON supports Modbus-RTU or LonWorks protocal to communicate with all brands of HMI and SCADA.

While ES-CON / ES-LON control all ipumps running with the same descending speed asynchronously.
